World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo 2024

Our highlights from the event

On the 28th – 30th May, the Reedbut Group team went to Hamburg Messe for WTCE 2024! We were really excited to exhibit at this show once again, and to demonstrate our skytidy® range of sustainable inflight packaging.

Showcasing skytidy® lite

We were proud to show of the latest corrugated version of our original skytidy® airline trash compactor box, skytidy® lite.

Compatible with both Safran and Iacobucci trash compactors, skytidy® lite offers a lighter, more cost-effective sustainable solution to onboard rubbish collection, with a weight saving of over 250g per unit. It was featured as one of the highlights on our stand, along with other packaging innovations from the exclusive skytidy® range.

Steps to Sustainability Trail

This year saw the introduction of a brand new feature at WTCE: the Steps to Sustainability Trail! WTCE launched this new feature to celebrate the many steps being taken by suppliers and airlines to reach their net zero goals.

Our skytidy® lite was featured in the product showcase area of the trail, alongside companies including Sustainaholics, Hello Straw, Onyx Plate and Ly Company Italia Srl. Visitors could see a scale model of the product and read the innovation info, with the opportunity to visit our stand and learn more about the innovation behind this unique sustainable solution.

The full range

The Reedbut Group team designed and built our exhibition stand in house, with sections dedicated to each product within the skytidy® range. Alongside the centrepiece demonstrating the weight-saving skytidy® lite compared with its predecessor, we had displays demonstrating the range in situ, to really showcase how each product works.

We displayed our cardboard ecotrays and trolley-top utility boxes in a cabin service trolley to show how they fit, alongside our cardboard oven trays – a lightweight alternative to plastic and metal trays for heating food inflight. Our new corrugated trolley bins were also featured, displayed to show their unique single-piece design.

We’d like to thank everyone who came to see us at WTCE this year. It was a fantastic show, and a real pleasure to meet so many people as enthusiastic as we are about the future of sustainability for inflight packaging. We hope to see you again in 2025!
