Protecting the environment through innovative packaging

There’s no need to compromise on quality, durability, or design when it comes to creating sustainable packaging. As a business with a focus on greener manufacturing, we work hard to monitor and adapt our processes. We always want to ensure we can deliver high-quality cardboard boxes while minimising our impact on the environment.

Our accreditations

We are FSC® certified! This allows us to identify and use wood, paper, and other forest products made with sustainable materials in our boxes. The FSC® label is the world’s most trusted mark for sustainable forestry.

We are a member of Sedex, a trusted partner in sustainable business practices. This enables us to monitor sustainability across our business and supply chain. We have also achieved a bronze rating with EcoVadis, recognising our intent to improve our sustainability management and performance.

Our materials

All our corrugated board contains a high percentage of recycled materials. We’re always working to make our boxes better for the environment. Our exclusive eCommerce boxes, the eLetterbox, eLok, and e-Envelope, are all free of plastic and tape. Additionally, we use water-based glue to ensure recyclability.

We have also recently made the switch from red plastic-based Rippatape® to their new paper-based alternative! This means we can reduce plastic content in the tape-sealed boxes we produce, without compromising on quality.

Our manufacturing processes

At the heart of our environment policy is our continuous aim to minimise pollution through efficient use of materials, supplies, and energy. We’re dedicated to reducing our environmental impact and aim to become carbon neutral in everything we do.

We design all our customers’ packaging with their products in mind, creating each box with minimal empty space, and using the correct board grade for their needs. We recycle all waste materials across our three UK manufacturing sites. By recycling the warm air drawn from the machinery when the waste is extracted, we also reduce the energy needed to heat our facilities.
