Meeting Sarah Parker – Customer Service Account Manager

As part of our Meet the Team series, we chat to Sarah Parker, Customer Service Account Manager for Reedbut Group and learn more about her role with us and what she enjoys doing when not busy looking after our customers!

Tell us a bit about your background and life before Reedbut

I don’t really remember having a life before Reedbut!! I’ve been here for over 30 years now and seen many changes in that time. I originally started as an office junior for Reedbut Packaging Supplies and the rest is history!!!

What is it that interests you about working in the corrugated board industry?

I guess sales is the same in many industries, satisfaction is gained from meeting your customer’s demands.

What do you see as the biggest challenges of working in this industry?

Keeping up with the ever changing needs of customers and the speed at which they require their boxes.

What is a typical day like for you at Reedbut? What does your job involve?

BUSY!! Processing customer orders and responding to email queries. Stock management to maintain customers stock levels and requirements. Daily production meetings to ensure customer deliveries are on target.

What is your business philosophy or mantra and why?

“Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today” – it is vital that we keep up with our customers needs so every task must be prioritised correctly.

When you aren’t at work, what do you enjoy doing?

Spending time with my family and holidays as I love being by the sea. 

Tell us a fun fact about you?

During lockdown I watched the TV series Friends for the first time! I have found that I do actually like American TV programmes despite my previous protestations!
